Why you should buy your ticket on Lenny.
Highlights
Venture to a Pacific island, explore the depths of the ocean, travel back to the age of the dinosaurs, or venture to the edge of the Milky Way – all without ever leaving New York City! Secure your admission to the New York Museum of Natural History (also known as the American Museum of Natural History) in advance and be captivated by a universe of wonder.
It is one of the largest museums on the planet, with extraordinary exhibits that range from the flora, fauna and minerals of Earth… but also beyond, into the solar system and the galaxy.
Explore the ocean depths
Speaking of oceans: The Milstein Hall of Ocean Life takes you on a journey to the creatures of the deep, where you can see a life-size replica of the giant blue whale. Its heart alone is the size of a Volkswagen Beetle!
Discover the new Gilder Center
The brand new Richard Gilder Center for Science, Education and Innovation will amaze you with extraordinary architecture and immersive exhibits that reveal the connections between all life. This innovative space is home to:
- The Davis Family Butterfly Vivarium , open year-round, with over 1,000 free-flying butterflies .
- The Susan and Peter J. Solomon Family Insectarium , a gallery devoted to insects – the most diverse and widespread animal group in the world – and home to the largest colony of leafcutter ants in the United States.
- The museum's scientific collections are displayed on three levels, at full height, offering a privileged view of biodiversity and human cultures.
Travel to the time of the dinosaurs
In another section of the museum, take a dive into the age of the dinosaurs. See the largest collection of dinosaur fossils ever assembled, including the legendary T. rex, one of the most fearsome predators in history. And if you think that's big, wait until you see the gigantic Titanosaur on the fourth floor!
