Description
Here you can taste the famous Neapolitan Tarallo (a spiced savory biscuit), and choose your favorite flavour; reach San Gennaro and its church. Reach the alley of San Gregorio Armeno, also called "the street of nativity scenes", one of the most surprising attractions in Naples.
You can admire numerous shops with creative nativity scenes and figurines in all variations.
all variations. Drive along Spaccanapoli, the straight and narrow road that runs through the historic center of Naples, which seems to divide the city in two. It's time for another tasting...
We reach Piazza del Gesù Nuovo, one of the most beautiful squares in Naples. It houses the Church of Gesù Nuovo, with its unsightly façade and the Spire of the Immaculate Conception; a wild pinnacle that blends rococo and gothic art. Walk to the Teatro San Carlo, the oldest opera house in the world still in operation.
Explore Piazza del Plebiscito, one of the most beautiful squares in Italy. It is a noble semicircular square built on the model of the Pantheon in Rome and is embraced by a neoclassical colonnade.
The two equestrian statues located in front of the church represent Ferdinand I of Bourbon and Charles III of Bourbon and are a masterpiece by Antonio Canova.
The last stop will be Via Toledo, always considered the most important avenue in Naples, which connects the decumani area with the historic center in Piazza del Plebiscito.
...it's time for pizza!
The Piazza Portafoglio is a pizza folded on itself (for this reason, wallet in Italian)... Last but not least
last...it's time for dessert...sfogliatella or babà or a delicious espresso in Piazza Plebiscito!
